THURSDAY::
This morning we jouneyed to this little boutique down the road from our condo (Anap) that we'd been drooling over since we first got here.....dangerous place for us! Can we say that we would be terminally broke if we could go to this place all the time! Coki is totally in love with her fancy new skirt.....yes, those are feathers around the edge!
Later we went to Hanauma Bay to swim with
the fishes....snorkel that is. Can we just say that these people are SOOOO lucky to live in a place this beautiful!! The water was cold, but we braved the elements and dove right in! It was truly remarkable. All varieties of fish come to this bay to feed on the coral reef. (It is actually a nature
preserve and very well maintained!) It was magical......like being inside a huge aquarium! Coki was particularly thrilled by the incredible colors of the fish, as well as their cool shapes (not to mention the sheer numbers...kinda could freak you out if you let it). Stuff you just don't see in Colorado!
We also liked the fine specimen of Hawaiian
lifeguards and parked ourselves right next to them on the beach (we are not stupid girls as you can see by the photo!) Shameless hussies! Actually, they were really nice and seemed to be flattered when asked to pose with us. (We conversed with them long enough to find out that there had been 9 bomb threats to the preserve/bay and that they were more than just pretty faces....they were discussing economics vs. social conscience when we walked up!) ALOHA and MAHALO, baby!
After our first not-so-successful attempt at photographing ourselves all snorkeled out (oh yeah! Thanks for the killer equipment, Bill....and the tip on where to go! You couldn't have been more right! In fact, I think I'm hooked!)
, the cutest old man helped us out with this pic.
We quickly bussed back from the bay to have dinner with two of the wonderful people Monique was lucky
enough to work on her conference with at the Ilikai Hotel. (I would not hesitate at all to recommend to anyone
a stay at this place! It's not only beautiful, but the staff is above par in knowledge and service! Call 808/949-3811 if interested!) Susan Carter does Convention Services and Chris Beddows is in charge of Sales. Susan and Chris graciously took us to dinner at Sarento's on top of the Ilikai (some 30-35 floors high with a 360 degree view) and it was wonderful! The food rocked, but more importantly the company was great! (Thanks again you two!)
After a long, leisurely dinner we innocently went to the bar (can we say that we are now regulars at this bar....you've seen it a couple times before on this trip....bar flies!) and that's when things got a little crazy!

This was our VIP manager guy Greg that took care of us at the Sarentos restaurant- I had to have a picture with him, his birthday is the same day as mine, 3/21!!We met this great gal Nikki and her friends - she told us tons of good jokes and we had a great time hanging out with hr. Her friend owns a sports bar in town that we were supposed to go to Friday night, we didnt make it out after Paul's party - sorry Vernon!
